Q: How much do music lessons/groups cost?
A: Current lesson rates are $32 per 30-minute lesson, $48 per 45-minute lesson, and $64 per 60-minute lesson. Groups are typically billed at an equivalent to $15 per group session, and we offer discounts when paying for lessons monthly or for the entire term (e.g. Sept.-Dec.). Additionally, music lessons in Nova Scotia are tax free!
Q: Who will be my music teacher?
A: We match all of our students with the appropriate teacher, based on their musical preferences and goals. All of our teachers are skilled musicians and trained to support your learning needs.
Q: What is the right length of programming to choose for me/my child?
A: For young children or beginners, we recommend starting with 30-minute individual lessons. If you are looking for more advanced/in-depth learning, we recommend 45-minute or 60-minute individual lessons.
Q: What if I don’t have a musical instrument?
A: There are many accessible and affordable ways to get musical instruments: purchases or rentals at Long & McQuade in New Minas, secondhand from online sellers such as Facebook Marketplace, and the Musical Instrument Lending Library in Halifax are just a few places. We also have several instruments (guitars & violins) available for rent or purchase through the studio!
